trade show
and permanent displays
The "Veneer
Forest"
Client: Interforest (Hardwood forest products).
Objectives: Provide visitors with a strong and
interesting presentation of the company
and its products while encouraging them to enter the site and
engage with sales staff.
The Display: The site was designed as a
"forest" of veneer clusters
amongst which visitors could wander about, examine products and
absorb information.
Each cluster displayed one species of veneer in various
wood finishes and
told the same exotic story as in the direct mail and supporting
ads.
The number of clusters could increase and decrease, depending on
the trade show space available.
The display was designed to be packed in crates for easy
transport.
The "Orient Express"
Client: Interforest (Hardwood
forest products).

image as a North American leader in the production
of fine hardwood veneer and lumber.
The Display: A "sliced in half"replica
of the original Orient Express first class passenger car,
displays exotic species of veneer and lumber which are
incorporated in the walls and seats.
A special enclosed cabin was designed to allow privacy for sales
activities.
Beautifully upholstered seats comfortably accommodate visitors
who can view
an audio-visual presentation projected onto each of the car's
windows.
The display was designed to be packed in crates for easy
transport.
